i have been hunting down this disk since the appearance of "open towers emerge" on hymen's teknoir compilation. this is a live collaboration between lustmord and shad scott (power behind isophlex label) of metal beast that took place on june 20, 1997 on kuci radio (california). the result is a nice mix of lustmord's dark ambient and metal beast's experimental techno.
first two tracks are simply amazing utilizing the heavy bassline and crunching cut-up beats creating dark and menacing atmosphere. rhythmic percussion is quite prominent on all of the tracks, and distorted noise elements pop up here and there together with analog bleeps, chimes, and cracking machinery. things slow down a bit and become more atmospheric when light techno beats get laid on top of drones and soundscapes.
most of the material on the album is not nearly as dark as usual lustmord's work, their hardcore fans might be offended by unusual non-ambient nature of the disk, but overall it should appeal to the ones that enjoy dark ambient or idm.
