“beautiful”, “lush” and “very intimate” are just a few things i can say about this very seductive 10" from wobblyhead records. often compared to boards of canada, erik kowalski takes his own magical paths in transparent and surreal textures that completely overwhelm.

there are two tracks of pure blissful enjoyment on this release that will completely withstand the test of time. on one side, "via rouge" we are set in tranquil and serene environments that slowly entangle apparition-like harmonies and distant echo rhythms that float while swelling lo-fi drones emerge ascend with great hypnotic presence. on the other side "via hotknives" relaxes us with its iridescent qualities, using sympathetic string intensities that emerge and fade while bleak static beats ride its powerful wave of enlightenment.

i will have to admit this is my first release from this artist, but surely will not be my last, so expect more reviews later. very surreal imagery and beautiful thoughts will only remain.
