i have to admit i have been endlessly enticed with this cd for the past few months now, and this is absolutely one of the best releases from toytronic to date. i am completely thrilled with the fact that they finally complied all three fairly rare previous vinyl releases into one nice package for accessible listening enjoyment. plus there is not only two new tracks, but three, including the hidden one, and stunning artwork to boot by din-a-zwei! martin haidinger (the person behind gimmik) and label partner and founder chris cunningham give us thirteen majestically surreal tracks that blissfully please the mind and soul.

i will not get in details with the beautiful tracks that we (anton & i) have already reviewed on the other releases, but i will give you an idea what the other three new tracks have to offer. "planquadrat," the first of the new, entices with irresistible and ascending melodies that richly layer and playfully dance around robotic modulated rhythms and deep warm oscillating phaselines. "syntax data" opens with deep surrealistic chords and luminous string melodics that circulate around transparent glitch-driven rhythms while dark swells and robotic samples lead you down a pathway to off-world excitement. the untitled track thirteen leans into much more sentimental regions with desolate intersecting pads and distant, almost bleak rhythms. these tracks alone make this release worth having, and if you do not already have this cd, you just might want to get it before it is completely sold out, just like other wonderful releases on this label. go now! most highly recommended!
