third stroke
this side project is maturing together with aghast view. the sound on "third stroke" is more electronic and complex than on "cervix state sequences". biopsy can be called the "spillover" of aghast view's creative energy, everything that did not fit the strict straight ebm of the main project found its outlet in biopsy. the results are very impressive - a rich mixture of energy and force conveyed in the form of aggressive electronics, distorted vocals and a shitload of mixing work putting together samples, funky melodies and danceable rhythms. plenty of distortions, pounding percussion and catchy ebm. the artwork is rather poor once again (especially compared with wonderful aghast view covers) - dsbp yet has to learn how to create decent cd covers. negative format remixes of "body wire", idiot stare, and several others complete this album. "third stroke" should appeal to anyone in the mood for complex funky ebm.
