This time around treboR (Rob Wentz) & Paul Karlik bring us an eighteen-track demo that explores the mind even further. "Versatility" would be an understatement of this work. The range of electronic material from these artists never seems to cease. Combining some of the best elements of electro/ambient/noise/experimental makes this one of the strongest demos out there. Making me wonder again, why aren't these guys signed?

Tracks "precOpt", "mace", & "genetics(mutation)" will show you how complex & harsh electronics can actually get. In these tracks they assimilate the best in melodic strings, overlaying samples manips, bass, synth, and an array of pummeling & extremely layered percussive elements.

Tracks such as "inner sanctum", "lord", & "vision reclaimed" deal with a more solid electro synthetic themes; unleashing air choirs, ambient resonance loops, harmonious step synth progressions and cycling atmospherics. There is literally something for everyone on this disc. The only thing that isn't here are vocals, except for the track "locust", but that is certainly not the focus of this demo. All these pieces work perfectly without voxx, infact, I really can't picture vocals on most of the tracks, there is simply too much going on, vocals could possibly ruin their material. Some things are better left without vocals.

Monstrum's material is very atmospherically visual & transitional to distract with voxx on this demo. Overall, I am astonished once more with what is presented here from these master surgeons of electronics & highly recommend you check into this release & their first demo "direct method." Very clean an enticing packaging as well! One not to disappoint!
