ms gentur (1999)
anton · December 13, 1999

yet another rhythm'n'noise release to grant listeners' ears from this famous label. ms gentur utilizes the beats similar to the way hypnoskull does, but filling the tracks with more distorted feedback and tweaked analog sounds. very heavy repetitive rhythmic percussion overlaid with waves of feedback create the sound dense enough to match winterkalte's complexity.

tracks worth mentioning include "oblivion" - crushing overcharged noisy percussion pierced with analog bleeps, the sound that energizes with its repetitiveness and hurts at the same time. "no reason" is another outstanding track that bombards the listener with rapid hollow beats overlaid with disembodied voices; it slowly gains heaviness until thick distorted feedback slowly advances and crushes into your skull backed by corroded noise structures. strangely enough, "final fantasy" contains something resembling a simple melody protruding through the layers of noisex-like pulsating percussion, ripped apart by random abrasive blasts of sonic bombs and twisted analog pulses. "nataraja" is yet another great mix of analog and thick saturated power noise.

heavy power rhythms by themselves provide just enough material to entertain the listener - at times I would not mind hearing more variation and heaviness that ms gentur seems to be so good at. this would be your pick if you are looking for complex rhythmic noise mixed with analog, power electronics and dense feedback.
