with this release the band seems to have adopted a slightly different approach to sound manipulation. more straightforward rhythms are the subject of this release. rhythmic pulses are backed by almost organic crunchy and abrasive sweeps, the music is more technoid in its nature, building up the intensity by slightly varying intentionally monotonous passages.

each track is a slight variation of the above formula and together they create an engaging and hypnotizing atmosphere that combines almost ambient atmospheric elements with colder percussion patterns.

altogether this album might be a departure from “vita mediativa”, but the same spirit is present on this release that made “vita mediativa” such an impressive album.
