ambient intimacy

Another fairly strong collection of nine dark ambient artists that tell their stories combined within 73 minutes. Ah cama-sotz opens up with swirling sound textures of tortured souls and distant ritual sound of nature that takes us to an unknown lost island with "nadilla." Bad Sector lays down bleak cold atmospherics with introspective sentimental undertones much like Ultra Milkmaids. Dieter Müh introduces "whorle" which relays sloth-like bass passageways that climb with tribal rhythms, reminding me of some Hybryds material. Dronaement delivers warm pulsating cycles that envelope us in smothered drone movements that build to a very brooding tonality.

Overall these are the strongest tracks on this compilation. Other artists include Aube, Big City Orchestra, Hellfiller, no vs.kenotaph, and Tarkatak that are very mediocre in comparison to the ones mentioned earlier. As expected, this release is very limited, very hard to find; definitely worth getting for ah cama-sotz and bad sector tracks alone.
