Well, not being too familiar with this label's releases and artists, this particular album gave me a little insight. First of all, I get an impression that there is a mixture of both sarcastic and serious undertones in thw work of many artists on this comp. Some of the better pieces presented were from the artists I am already familiar with, such as ah cama-sotz, monstrum sepsis, LHD, converter, pain station, cazzodio, aural blasphemy, ovum, and sleeping with the earth.

On the first disc, Trebor from Monstrum Sepsis presents one of the strongest tracks on this release titled "m&-'shEn." Utilizing gradually building cybernetic melodies that bust out into erratic rhythms that are counter-activated with various lo-fi mechanical elements. LHD rips into some very hazardous and thick bombastics of static discharges that end abruptly with very viscous distorted screams and cycles. Converter presents a pretty nice live version of "conqueror", which sounds very close to the original, not being able to convey the sheer intensity of the live show. His pure pummeling assaulting rhythms never cease to amaze me. Aural Blasphemy puts down some stomping power rhythms that are surrounded with recycled disruptive loops and drones. This artist seems to be getting better and better, the more I listen to his work. Wow, Ah Cama-sotz does 4/4 rhythms with the "son of sam." This is probably the most danceable and electro-oriented track I've heard from this artist, definitely in the vein of tracks such a "ill-lektrik", but with more bouncy EBM movements and short attacking air choirs, joined by eerie analog synths melodies towards the end. Yet another different direction from the very ranged Dr. Blood.

On disc 2, Sleeping with the Earth presents a toxic piece titled "leverage." Immensely layered cycled bass drones, thick lo-fi step progressions with powerfully psychotic vocals. I have to say this is my favorite track from this artist so far, and one of best on the release! Mutilatrix was the only new artist that I was slightly impressed with just for the hyper broken beat structures and menacing vocals. I would like to hear more from this project. And Pain Station presents an exclusive track titled "Is it time", using more stripped-down rhythms and melodies similar to his last work on "Cold."

But as far as the other artists on this release go, I wasn't all that impressed. Many just put out very rigid, formula-driven power electronics that need major work, not to mention terrible engineering. Some artist, such as CAT and Baboon Torture Division present some nice funny samples and goofy material that just doesn't feel right when put together with artists such as ah cama-sotz, monstrum sepsis, and sleeping with the earth.
