epsilon tape compilation
The MHz crew provides us with an exclusive aqua-green tape packaged in a blue rubber bag that features six new tracks exploring further the boundaries of experimental/noise genres.
Klangstabil opens up with menacing submerged rhythms that gradually rise in intensity and fall with the complimentary moog accents and funnel effex on "d10." It is a perfect introduction to this synthetic world called Oepsilon. "wearable odors" given to us by typhoid, focuses on sporadic breakbeats and drum n' bass rhythms accented by vocal streamlines and a variety punchy phases.
berbat sez ends side a with a very persistent beat driven track titled "beatholic." störfrequenz runs amok with a very chaotic track called "sternstunde." here we experience very tweaked-out high end frequency modulations, crushing minimal percussive, and a cluster of abrasive organic devices. ncc focuses on a more direct electro edge to the experimentalism with a track titled "bittermoon" utilizing organized melodic progressions enhanced with phasing devices and soft beats.
marc mcnulty ends this with brooding abysmally dark string modulations and rhythms that swell and contract with force on a track called "midden." another brilliant compilation for the mind to wander in (not to mention the packaging, unsurpassed in its uniqueness).
